Dog Walks in Pinkneys Green
The semi-rural historical village near Maidenhead was established back in the 1700’s and has since become a popular place to live.
Whilst the village contains very few businesses, there are a few great spots for some much great dog walking! Here are our 3 favourite dog walks near The Golden Ball, rated by us! Remember, if you build up an appetite from all your substantial walking, we offer a real hearty pub lunch, and of course, we’re always dog friendly & have treats for your furry friend too.
The Golden Route
Pinkey’s Green

This circular route begins and ends at the Golden Ball pub, providing the perfect place to end your stroll. Enjoy the meander through tall hay meadows revealing a variety of rich grasses, flowers, and buzzing insects that have made their home in this expanse of open grassland. Plenty of space to dogs to roam free and stretch their fluffy legs.

Terrain: Flat with a little incline in places

The Meadow Walk

The grasses in these open, unfenced meadows are left to grow tall all summer long so you’ll find a wealth of wildflowers. From delicate yellow cowslips to bright white daisies with specks of colour for as far as the eye can see. A delightful walk for dogs and even nicer for owners with plenty of natural beauty to see. It is worth noting dogs need to be kept on leads around wild stock.

Winter Hill

Winter Hill offers arguably some of the most breath-taking views of the river Thames and nearby Cock Marsh. With long grass meadows and poppy fields to company paths in and around the woodland areas, there is more than enough opportunity to get in a fantastic walk for all the family.
