Our Story

Growing up in a household with a great love of cooking and food, Clark knew from a very young age he wanted to become a chef. Born in Notting Hill, West London brother and sister Chelsey and Clark Crawley together with their siblings Chase and Sommer have always shared a real love and passion for food!
Cooking with Mum Jayne from a very young age has taught us that cooking with love is the secret ingredient!

Clark realised from the age of 12 his future awaited in the catering industry leading him to self-teach through cookbooks and television. At 16 years of age he was ready and hungry for kitchen life so entered into an apprenticeship program at a busy central London hotel.
Always eager to impress and compete Clark satisfied this hunger by competing in a vast amount of junior then senior level cookery competitions leading to multiple industry awards and recognition, in 2008 he was approached for a place on the English culinary team, over a 12 year span he accumulated gold and silver medals at both culinary world cups and Olympics on the world stage.
Years of hard work and gaining knowledge from some amazing chefs along the way Clark was offered his first head chef role at 25 years of age. Now 39 and a CV that boasts of leading numerous successful kitchens delivering fine dining and hospitality within some of London’s biggest and prestigious corporate clientele Clark is now focused on wowing the public with his food.

Chelsey’s career path started in customer care working for London based software company Utalk. Where she became the brand ambassador and public face of the company appearing in language videos, organising events, and looking after clients.
Having started a family Chelsey now lives in Windsor and has been working within hospitality at Cliveden Hotel for the past few years, where she discovered just how much she enjoys making customers experience one to remember.
With a great love of people and hosting events, Chelsey and Clark have now teamed up to give the ultimate pub experience.

The Golden ball is now completely family run with 3 generations working tirelessly to ensure every customer visit is special and unique, we welcome all with genuine affection and warm hospitality.

We also offer events from planning to decorations, outsourcing bespoke requests for flair cocktail set ups to live music, the golden ball is ideal for large parties, weddings and small intimate dinners. Our food offering ranges from Fine Dining, Pub classics a more refined evening menu to our award-winning Sunday lunch.
