What guests love the most:

"We obtained a very good room rate online and were delighted with our superior room with exposed beams at the top of the main building. Our relatives in another room were equally pleased with their accommodation. The quality and amount of the full English breakfast were excellent and the whole stay was seamless with no issues. "

"We had a fabulous room in the main building, full of character (beams etc). Comfortable bed, fine breakfast, and attentive staff. Stayed during the COVID crisis which made things hard for everyone but the hotel coped well and made us feel safe. Dinner was good both nights although a wider vegetarian choice would be good. Food well cooked and in good portions."

"We benefited from a reduction for staying 2 nights, but still received a lovely, character room in the main building, overlooking the river. Loved the outside bar & thought the included breakfasts were excellent. We also enjoyed the evening meal we eat in the hotel, which compared favorably with a meal we eat later in the week in a 5-star hotel! Location is excellent for the town centre & surrounding area. Have already recommended the hotel to friends."
